Jarrod Bleijie should explain how the LNP plans to fill the $8 billion black hole in its revenue plans instead of talking about his pale imitation of the Palaszczuk Government’s $100 million regional Back to Work program (North West Star August 2).

Mr Bleijie shares the LNP’s shabby record on jobs.
Under the Newman-Nicholls government when any Minister spoke about jobs it was in the context of cutting them not creating them.
Before the 2012 election Tim Nicholls promised to target a 4% jobless rate but then stood idle as the trend rate hit 6.7% for four months in late 2014 and was 6.6% when they lost office.
Unemployment is lower now because the Palaszczuk Government has focussed on job creation as we promised.
Latest ABS figures show a net 36,600 jobs created since January 2015 election including 3,800 full-time jobs.
That’s 220 full-time jobs created each month since January 2015 compared with a loss of 380 a month under the Newman/Nicholls government.
As Treasurer, Tim Nicholls used his first Budget to cut 14,000 jobs and his slash-and-burn approach was so bad that it led to our state being placed on a negative watch by a major credit ratings agency.
The 2016 State Budget contained initiatives such as our Back to Work program specifically for regional Queensland plus a $10.7 billion job-creating infrastructure program with almost half being spent in our regions.
Mr Nicholls firmly rejects key revenue initiatives in the two State Budgets delivered so far under the Palaszczuk Government that are strengthening our state as we transition to a post-mining boom economy.
This leaves an $8 billion black hole in any potential budget delivered by the LNP.
Tim Nicholls has not explained how he would fill it.
In addition, Tim Nicholls is continuing his vow of silence on his asset sales policy despite saying more than two months ago that he would reveal his position “in due course”.
The only conclusion is that asset sales remain the LNP’s secret policy and its one-point economic plan.

The animals used are all in top condition and very well looked after. What next are they going to stop. Playing tug o war or fetch the stick with our dogs? Don't like rodeo then don't watch it.

They will move on to rally against the next bee in their bonnet e.g live export, greyhound racing.

Belinda Anderson – Pretty soon we will not be able to do anything because we've become a bunch of over sensitive perpetually offended keyboard warriors.
