In Race 1 the CNW Working With The Isa BenchMark 70 handicap over 1450 metres there was a upset as $31 chance Frisco Journey charged home for trainer Kerry Krogh and jockey Tim Brummell to win by a length from the Philip Miller-trained Mahonga with Mr Peppers back in third.
In Race 2 CNW The Proud Aussie BenchMark 50 Handicap over 900 metres Miller went one better with his horse World of Pain streaking clear to win by seven lengths, with Tamara Tincknell aboard.
Local trainer Bob Burow’s Aperture was second with Tanya Perry’s Star Truce third.
Race 3 was the CNW Our Gold Sponsors Open Handicap over 1000 metres and there was a small field of five runners.

Dan Ballard’s family made it a quinnella with dad Keith riding mum Denise’s horse Travel in Style to second place half a length behind.

The Steven Royes-trained Albertique was a further length behind in third.
In Race 4 the Bill Braden Memorial Maiden Plate over 1200 metres there was another small field and it was the second win of the day for the Kerry Krogh- Tim Brummell partnership.
Brummell rode Krogh’s Purfleet Princess to a comfortable three length victory ahead of two Tanya Perry horses, Time and Chance in second and Lucky Apache finishing third.
In the final thoroughbred race of the day, the CNW The Leading Independent QTIS Class 2 Handicap over 1200 metres there was a win for trainer George Tipping.
Tasha Chambers rode his horse Duke’s Delight to victory by a length from Shryn Gabriel-Royce’s Dreamward Bound by a length.
Bob Burow’s Good Mood was second.
