A big crowd was in at Legends Oval on Saturday afternoon to watch the two top sides Tigers and Lake Nash Young Guns battle it out for a place in the final.
The game was well into the second half when a Lake Nash player left the field only to collapse.
Emergency services were called and ambulance officers and police responded to the scene.
The player was stabilised on site before being taken to Mount Isa Hospital for treatment.
His current condition is not yet known.
The game was immediately abandoned, at the time Tigers were leading by eight points.
In the earlier game Rovers beat Buffs to advance to play the losers of the Tigers v Young Guns game.
