The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) reported Cloncurry received the least amount of rain on Tuesday only receiving 19mm. Mount Isa received second least recording 5.8mm.
Other recordings across the North West saw Camooweal receive 14mm, Julia Creek 19mm, Boulia 25mm, Bedourie 40mm, Urandangi 30mm, Winton 30mm, Longreach 25mm and Birdsville 10mm.
BOM spokesperson, Les Lever, said the rain was caused by a upper level trough system that moved through from the central western area.
“The rain was only moderate falls. We should now see cool and sunny conditions for the next five to six days with a high pressure system and southerly winds penetrating the North West.”
