RACERS will fire up their engines this weekend at Lagoon Park Raceway for the largest club race meeting of the year.

Saturday will see the 2016 Central Queensland Catering Championships hosted in Mount Isa, in what is the clubs marquee event for the year.
The meeting is expected draw a crowd as the racers produce plenty of action across all classes.
For the first time in the history of the event the race meeting will be run in both directions with qualifying, heats one and two run in an anti-clockwise direction while heats three, four and five will be run in a clockwise direction.
With all races counting towards the overall results the format will be a true test of driver and kart setup.
The first class up for the night is Cadet nine. After a closely fought battle during round four Myles Campbell and Mason Seabourne will be looking to continue on from where they left off last time out with both equal chances of taking the win.
In Cadet 12 Tara Sidnell will start out as the early favorite while in the KA3 Junior class older sister Allisa will be one to watch KA3 Senior light looks set for a great weekend of racing.
After winning the KA3 Junior title in 2015 Anthony Rowsell will be looking to add the Senior title to his resume. Rowsell will have to do it the hard way though with Anthony English and Matthew Cobden both strong chances of taking the win.
KA3 Senior Heavy is sure to provide plenty of entertainment with class front runners Mark Ezzy, Trevor Hollyman and Michael Shearer all looking to fight it out for the top step of the podium.
A potential Dark horse in the event, Toby Seabourne will be looking to improve on his third place from last meeting as he looks to go blow to blow with the front runners.
The fastest class for the night TAG 125 is also set to be one of the biggest. Making a return to the 125 class will be Mark Bond who is more than capable of providing an upset come Saturday night.
After producing many memorable races throughout the 2016 season so far, Scott Geary, Shaune English and Kevin Rowsell are sure to feature up the pointy end of the field and provide spectators with plenty of action. As they will try to pip each other for top spot on the podium.
Also in with a shot at the title is Adam Chirio who will be making his debut in the class.
Qualifying kicks off from 2.30pm Saturday with the finals heats continuing under lights from 6.30pm grandstand seating and canteen facilities are available.
Patrons must wear enclosed footwear to allow entry into the pit area.
