Police investigating a disturbance where officers were threatened and a police vehicle damaged at Pormpuraaw on Monday have charged several people. A 19-year-old man was charged with two counts of serious assault and one count of wilful damage of police property and committing a public nuisance offence. Three women, 19, 41 and 48 and two men, 27 and 36, were charged with wilful damage of police property. A 15-year-old girl was charged with damage of police property and possession of a drug utensil.
