They were part of the world’s largest rugby scrum while competing in Cardiff last week.
The BBC reports that 1297 players gathered for the rugby scrum on the University Fields in the Llanrumney area.
The largest scrum happened during the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival, held in Wales, in which Mount Isa players such as Shaine Hunter, Hag Harrison, Julian Graham and Dan Toia were competing in.
They departed from the Mount Isa Airport on Tuesday, August 16 and were scheduled to return in September.
The Ugly Mongrels have played against Argentina, Canada and Wales sides during the festival.This is the sixth biennial Golden Oldies Festival that the Ugly Mongrels has competed in. They played in Argentina in 2014, and in Japan in 2012.
