There were food, games, stalls, a jumping castle and performances from the school students including from the Jump Stars.
Showbag vendor and teacher Matt Bailey said the most popular showbags were the Miss Behaving bag, and the Glowsticks Glowbag.
Teachers aid Sepa Sala said the showbags were “selling like hotcakes.”
“It’s really good, heaps of variety.
“The kids are loving it so it’s good to see everyone in town coming through to support it.”
P&C president Simone Sprenkeler said the turnout seemed bigger than it was the previous year.
“Everyone is getting involved and supporting our school,” she said.
“It’s one of our largest fundraising events of the year so it’s good the community comes out and supports us.”
The fete was a good chance to showcase the students’ talent, whether it be music, choir, instrumental, and the skipping from the Jump Stars.
The P&C did not host too many events.
“When we do we do a pretty good job of it.
“It’s a lot of effort but it’s worth it in the end,” she said.
Cloncurry PCYC Sergeant Heidi Rix, who manned the jumping castle, said “it’s fabulous to see the community out supporting the state school.”
