Tiaro police intercepted the motorist on the Bruce Highway at Tiaro, about 230 kilometres north of Brisbane, on Saturday.
The car was clocked travelling 132km/h in a 100km/h zone, costing the motorist six demerit points and a $568 fine.
An hour later, the same driver was stopped by Howard police and fined another $406 for travelling 122km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Senior Constable Melanie Ryan said a motorist would usually lose four points for the latter offence but this driver received double demerit points because it was the second offence where the speed exceeded 120km/h.
"This motorist received in one hour a total of $974 worth of fines and a loss of 14 demerit points," she said in a statement.
"An expensive lesson and a reminder to motorists that in Queensland if you commit the same offence twice, within usually a 12-month period, the second offence is double demerit points."
