Police intercepted the man, 24, while he was driving a vehicle along Paddington Drive on the Gold Coast and found ammunition and steroids about 8.20am on Sunday.
The vehicle was seized and taken to a police holding facility where police allege they found a handgun concealed in a door panel.
Further examination of the car also allegedly unveiled two shotguns, a stolen rifle, a knife and a large quantity of drugs - including 4.5 kilograms of a white powdery substance secreted in pillow cases.
The Burleigh Waters man has been charged with offences including unlawful possession of weapons, burglary, possession of dangerous drugs, and failure to obtain authority required to possess an explosive.
He was due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
It was understood one of the firearms was allegedly stolen during a burglary at Gatton in November.
Detective Inspector Phillip Stevens said the interception was a "fantastic result" for the Queensland community.
"Four more firearms and a large stash of drugs have been removed from streets and will no longer pose a threat to public safety," he said.
