The AFL has called for more details from Sydney surrounding Josh Kennedy's concussion test after Steve Johnson was suspended from the preliminary final following his head-high hit on the All-Australian midfielder.

While the Swans insist that Kennedy was not concussed and stayed out of the game for the required 15 minutes before undergoing the SCAT 3 assessment which cleared him, the AFL wants a further detailed explanation from Sydney after viewing the club's medical report provided to the Match Review Panel.
The league's football boss Mark Evans confirmed that he had spoken with the Swans' head of football Tom Harley on Sunday and had on Monday called for further details of the procedures followed by Sydney in Kennedy's head injury assessment.
The player was felled by an off-the-ball bump delivered by Johnson in the first quarter of the ANZ Stadium qualifying final. Kennedy started to stand up before rolling back onto the ground in what appeared as a possible balance disturbance. He was taken to the bench and down to the Sydney rooms. After being cleared of concussion, Kennedy returned to the ground and played out the game.
Evans said he had seen the forms compiled and signed by Sydney's doctor regarding Kennedy's head injury but wanted a further detailed assessment. Swans boss Andrew Ireland said Kennedy was tested again after the game and again cleared of concussion.
Swans welfare boss Dennis Carroll and Harley assessed Kennedy early on Monday and deemed him in good condition despite the heavy knock.
Port Adelaide was fined $20,000 in July after Hamish Hartlett returned to the ground after just five minutes despite a head knock that led to him having a concussion test.
Port was told that it did not give the club doctor enough time to assess Hartlett or vision of the incident even though the player was deemed not to be concussed.
