The video, which was posted on Snapchat following the Titans' loss to the Broncos on Friday night, shows Chris Bloomfield, a former Gold Coast under-20s player and alleged Hells Angels member, holding up a wad of cash to the camera and saying: "Sweet. Haynesy just gave me five grand".

The camera then pans across to Hayne, who is sitting behind Bloomfield and who at first appears to be looking at his phone. Hayne responds by shrugging his shoulders and saying: "Cash money fam, cash money fam."

Another video, obtained by News Corp Australia, allegedly shows Hayne and Bloomfield in a moving car, with Bloomfield driving while Hayne sits in the back seat rapping.

Former Titans player Nene Macdonald is also under investigation after he appeared in a photograph with Bloomfield, who is facing extortion charges at Southport Magistrate Court and who Queensland Police allege is a bikie gang member.

In a statement on Tuesday morning, the Gold Coast Titans said the club and the Integrity Unit had been "made aware of a video that is circulating which features Titans player Jarryd Hayne and briefly Nene Macdonald".

"We are liaising with the Integrity Unit and the players over the matter and have no further comment until those discussions are completed," the club said.

An NRL spokesman also confirmed that the NRL Integrity Unit was aware of the video and "will make inquiries into the matter".

Hayne has not responded publicly to the allegations. His manager, Wayne Beavis, said he was flying to the Gold Coast on Tuesday morning, and Hayne was expected to release a statement about the matter later in the afternoon.

It is understood that Hayne will claim he did not give the cash to Bloomfield, and that he didn't even know who Bloomfield was.

It follows another, separate incident in May this year in which Parramatta players Corey Norman and Junior Paulo, and Penrith's James Segeyaro, were shown in a photograph on social media dining out with a former Nomad bikie and an accused criminal. Later the same night, Norman was caught in possession of drugs at The Star casino.

Following that incident, NSW Police issued Paulo and Segeyaro warnings for allegedly consorting with convicted criminals.

In July, Norman was convicted of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prescribed restricted substance. The court heard Norman was found in possession of MDMA capsules and muscle relaxants after the group of men he was with were stopped during a routine metal detector search at the Star casino on May 20.

The NRL also handed Norman an eight-match suspension and $20,000 fine for a range of indiscretions.

When announcing Norman's punishment, the NRL's Head of Integrity Nick Weeks said: "Whether it is drug possession, criminal associations or social media use, players understand the consequences that can flow from illegal or other unacceptable conduct."
