The creation of the Country Racing Advisory Board was announced by Racing Queensland’s chief executive on Tuesday, with Mr Inwood’s named among the 10 panelists.
Racing Queensland chief executive Eliot Forbes said the panel will join the Thoroughbred Advisory, the Harness Advisory and the Greyhound panels to help “development of commercial strategies for racing”.
Mr Inwood could not be reached for comment on what he thought about his role and what issues he wanted to address as a panelist,
Dr Forbes said the panel was made of individuals with broad industry experience across the state’s regional areas.
“(It) will act as an instrument to provide feedback on proposals earmarked for implementation by Racing Queensland,” he said.
The group is chaired by Racing Queensland directors and meetings will be attended by management.
