MITS keeps Mount Isa guessing

All was revealed when Mount Isa Theatrical Society held their final production of Murder Takes the Stage on Saturday evening.

The unknown murderer changed the empty bullet and  shot the famous actress, Hazel Laverne dead during a rehearsal. Every actor had a reason as to why they wanted Ms Laverne dead, and an investigation looked into the reason of each potential murderer.

A clever trap planned by the stage manager, Mitzi Bond, saw the murderer revealed and it wasn’t the ‘innocent’ grandma. Bob Rayfield, hidden ex-husband of Ms Laverne, admits his plan not realising the detective is hidden hearing every word.

The play was very well directed by Ryan Telford and captured the audience’s attention from the very start of the play. It allowed audience members to chose their own predicted murderer and reason behind it taking them on a mind-bottling journey.
