“Cloncurry has been buzzing with the though of Glenn McGrath visiting town for this event,” she said.
“Seeing family and friends come together from all walks of life to enjoy an afternoon out with fun and laughter is what this event is all about.
“New events for this year includes the Jack and Jill Race, which comprises of a boy and girl team, being put through there paces in a ironman/ironwomen style of contest. It should be very entertaining for everyone watching.”
Ms Warrian said “From a young age my siblings and I have grown up with cricket on our TV. I’ve always wanted to raise money for a charity, so when the opportunity came to create an event, it was only fitting I chose the McGrath Foundation.”
Locals will have a chance to meet Glenn McGrath throughout the day.
The event is being held at Cloncurry Racecourse, Saturday October 1, gates open at 1.30pm.
