Windscreens O’Brien opened in Mount Isa last week and is already drawing the attention of individuals from across the North West.
Local man and Windscreens O’Brien owner, Damion O’Loughlin, was contacted by the company asking if he was interested in owning the business in Mount Isa.
“We looked into it and thought the town needed it and we made the decision to open the business,” Mr O’Loughlin said.
“There are other businesses in town that replace windscreens but we offer customers another option.”
Mr O’Loughlin said Windsceens O’Brien, was a nation wide company covering a lot of different insurance companies,
“Some insurance companies will only go through us so we cover a lot of the preferred insurance companies,” he said.
“It makes windscreen repairs easier for Mount Isa residents with over 50 insurance brands using us as their preferred vehicle glass repair specialist.
"So there was a demand to have a Windscreens O’Brien here in Mount Isa just to keep their insurance companies and customers.”
Windscreens O’Brien offer most services including new windscreens, chip repairs, side panels, side windows, rear windows and bus and truck glass.
The only service currently not provided is window tinting.
Opening last Monday, Mr O’Loughlin said it was stressful at first.
“We were still waiting on parts and screens to come in but now we have had at least 20 windscreen replacements booked in the first week,” he said.
“It is very exciting for the business and Mount Isa residents.
“We are locally owned and we offer great customer service.
“Customer service is a big thing for me so we want to make sure our customers are happy with the service we provide.”
Windscreens O’Brien is located at 36 Old Mica Creek road.
