Mrs Roberts received more than $1000 to cover medical bills for treatment she needed in Brisbane. It had been unexpected.
The kindness from the cancer support group is a reason why the company has chosen to sponsor the running of the Pink Ta Tas Fun Run at Lake Moondarra on Sunday morning.
“Now it’s our turn to do our bit,” she said. “What goes around comes around in some sort of way.”
Pink Ta Tas Fun Run organiser Juanita Godwin said the support group considered whether or not to hold the fun run because changes in law required the group to pay $1000 for traffic management at the event. The group decided to hold the fun run. An hour later Krause phoned to offer sponsorship.
“It was ‘yes! It was meant to be,” Mrs Godwin said.
Fun run registrations can be made online or at WiZZamakidZ. The event starts at 8am on Sunday.
