About 9.30am, slow patches remained on the Gateway Motorway through Bracken Ridge and Gympie Road at Carseldine but had otherwise mostly cleared.

The "domino effect" has struck again, ruining the morning drive to work for commuters from the north as the Bruce Highway banked up past Deception Bay.
A car and motorbike collided on the Gateway Motorway at Deagon about 5.30am, with only minor injuries to the rider.
Police had the area cleared by about 6.15am but the effects were still being felt with "massive" delays on the Bruce Highway stretching past 7.30am.
The school holiday period is normally a nice break for motorists used to battling slow traffic south from about North Lakes.
Australian Traffic Network traffic reporter Jay Lane said the heavy congestion was back to Deception Bay, after earlier extending as far as Narangba.
It wasn't likely to clear until close to 8.30am, "just in time for the tail end of peak hour", he said.
"It's just the domino effect of what happened on the Gateway Motorway this morning but at this stage for the Bruce Highway southbound, looking very heavily delayed," he said.
"You wouldn't know it was school holidays, that's for sure."
Southern commuters were having a much better time of it, with the normally choked M1 flowing relatively smoothly, while those in the west faced the normal delays on the Ipswich and Centenary motorways.
