Queensland Country Health Fund General Manager, Aaron Newman, said Geitz had become an integral part of the Queensland Country family.
“She continuously shows that she is more than an accomplished sportswoman. We admire and value her leadership, positive attitude and hard work,” Mr Newman said.
Ms Geitz recently announced that she is going to be mum, and will be hanging up the purple Queensland Firebirds uniform for the time being.
With this new career path on the horizon, Mr Newman said they will be activating a new initiative with Ms Geitz for her annual tour with the Health Fund in mid-November this year.
She is set to visit Mount Isa and regional communities in North Queensland to host motivational and inspirational seminars, targeting young females and women in business.
She will focus on work-life balance, how to get what you want out of life, and goal setting.
Geitz was born in the tiny Queensland town of Allora, on a grain and cattle farm two and a half hours out of Brisbane, and understands the challenges young people face when it comes to achieving your goals in regional areas
Geitz is the perfect fit for the Health Fund, thanks to her strong focus on supporting community initiatives throughout Queensland.
Her time spent time in regional areas means she is an excellent role model for teaching and mentoring individuals on success in sport and life.
Geitz said her decision to re-partner with the Health Fund was an easy one.
“Queensland Country Health Fund is a true Queensland success story with strong roots in regional Queensland for almost 40 years. Even their contact centre is based in Townsville,” Ms Geitz said.
“Queensland Country Health Fund mirrors my passion to give back to regional Queensland. Their community focus and commitment to Member-centric benefits and affordability is why I am delighted to continue working with their great team.
“My husband Mark and I have found everyone so wonderful to work with – it’s like having another member of the family looking out for you.”
The Health Fund will continue to work with Geitz over the next three years to develop her story as an inspirational figure beyond netball, and support her and Mark as they embark on a new chapter as a young family.
