The new ovens have been given to Ngurri Ngurri Women’s Shelter, which is in East Street.
Two have been placed in units while the third has been installed in the main kitchen.
Shelter coordinator Pearl Isaacson said the kitchen’s previous oven has not been replaced since the shelter opened in 1992.
Rotarian Molly Patton approached the shelters and asked what they needed.
“Her story is she has been in shelters before and she wanted to give back,” Ms Isaacson said.
Rotary Club of Mount Isa president Tracy Pertovt said that Ms Patton’s passion “opened people’s eyes”.
“She really drove the project...we were glad to help make a difference in the lives of people that needed it the most,” Mrs Pertovt said.
But other donations within the last year include fridges for Nawamba House and donating old bags to Old Bags New Beginnings.
