Brayshaw, the younger brother of Melbourne's Angus, has been compared to his brother's uncompromising ball-winning ability, but the 18-year-old is keen to make a mark of his own, beginning on Sunday.

He feels that it is greatest opportunity to show his ability under pressure, after struggling to make an impact in his one Under 18 Championship match for Vic Metro against Vic Country in June.

Brayshaw also believes he is yet to hit his straps in the TAC Cup finals.

"I feel a little bit nervous," Brayshaw said.

"I think the fact that I don't need to play my best and the team can still win, shows the core group of the players that we've got that if someone plays bad, someone else can just step up."

His younger brother Andrew has been named as the 23rd player for the Dragons.

"He's doing well for a bottom-ager. He is pretty calm and collected. I think he is as ready as anyone else in the team," Brayshaw said.

Dragons coach Jeremy Barnard believes the grand final "should carry a fair bit of weight" as to where potential AFL draftees may end up in the pecking order.

"All AFL recruiters are looking to see how young players play under pressure and you can't get any more than playing in a TAC Cup grand final," Barnard said.

But there are exceptions, such as Sandringham's AFL Academy player Will Setterfield, who suffered a shoulder injury in last week's preliminary final and was cruelly ruled out of the 2016 premiership decider.

Barnard considers Setterfield a likely first-round draft selection.

"While it's a TAC Cup grand final, a lot of these guys are super talented and they will go pretty high in the draft. While we would love to have him, at the end of the day, he's got the rest of his footy career to go forward," he said.

"Our midfield is a pretty strong midfield. We were able to provide some cover for him on the weekend, albeit to have a six-foot-three midfielder going forward is pretty handy."

For the Dragons, Andrew McGrath, Corey Lyons and Harrison Burt have impressed in the midfield, while Jack Scrimshaw, Darcy James and Liam Murphy have been pivotal in defence.

Commentators are jumping on board Tim Taranto, a classy forward who was best on ground in the preliminary final win over the Geelong Falcons, a match in which the Dragons came from five goals down at the last change. Taranto kicked four goals from 23 disposals and is another potential first round selection on show.

For the Bushrangers, watch for Will Brodie, Fletcher Carroll and James Cousins, along with Lachlan Tizani and Trent McMullin up forward.
