Alastair Clarkson won plenty of plaudits for his post-match display of sportsmanship last weekend when he went into the Western Bulldogs' rooms to congratulate Dogs coach – and Clarkson's former assistant – Luke Beveridge after the Dogs had beaten Clarkson's Hawthorn in their semi-final clash. Less gracious though was Clarkson's questioning of whether Collingwood's still record four straight premierships from 1927 to 1930 was more meritorious than his Hawks' three consecutive flags – a run ended by Beveridge's side.
