Sophie Meixner knew she was destined to be a journalist when her Grade 6 teacher kept telling her to "stop asking stupid questions". She studied law and journalism at UQ but after graduating in 2014, wisely decided to follow the money and pursue a career in journalism.

She holds the dubious honour of spending a year living in Sweden without learning a single useful Swedish phrase except "Det är jättekallt" (it's bloody cold). She's also prone to extravagant and unlikely sport injuries after a casual throw of the frisbee with friends led to a full knee reconstruction.
She's interested in politics, feminism, and the media, and is often found arguing about all three on Twitter, and is a proud The Bachelor snob (the U.S. version is so much better than the Australian one).
