Mining company MMG announced Chief Executive Officer and executive director Andrew Michelmore, has confirmed his intention to retire from his position as CEO in 2017. The company said chair Jerry Jiao would lead a succession process and would consider internal and external candidates.

MMG are the owners of Dugald River near Cloncurry where a zinc concentrator is expected to open in 2018.
Mr Michelmore, aged 63, was appointed as CEO in December 2010.
