Measures designed to stop bikies recruiting new members in Queensland's jails will be wound back under the government's new organised crime laws.

The Newman government made an amendment to the Corrective Services Act in 2013 to establish a Criminal Organisation Segregation Order (COSO) scheme.
This gave Queensland Corrective Services extra powers to manage prisoners identified as participants in criminal organisations.
The orders could include segregation from other prisoners and restriction of privileges such as visits, mail and access to activities.
Shadow Attorney-General Ian Walker said prisons were a prime recruiting ground for criminal gangs.
"The reason this segregation order was brought in was to make sure that those who participated in gangs were kept separate from our prisoners so that the possibility of recruitment was kept to an absolute minimum," Mr Walker said.
"We think it's an important provision to make sure prisons don't become recruiting grounds for future members.
"I think what this segregation order does is stop bikies effectively acting as free range operators in jail and ensure they are confined to parts of the jail where they can't implement a recruiting program for younger and inexperienced prisoners."
The explanatory note to the Palaszczuk government's proposed bill describes the LNP's amendments as "unnecessary".
"The 2013 amendments were found by the Taskforce to be unnecessary because, prior to those changes, Queensland Corrective Services already had a well-developed and effective prisoner management regime that was sufficient for the supervision and management of all offenders (in custody and in the community), including those identified as participants in criminal organisations," the notes read.
"The Bill reflects the unanimous recommendation of the Taskforce... in repealing all of the 2013 amendments to the Corrective Services Act."
In August, Corrective Services Minister Bill Byrne said there were 101 prisoners in Queensland who were identified as criminal gang members or people affiliated with criminal gangs, such as street gangs, outlaw motorcycle gangs and prison gangs.
Of these, eight prisoners were confirmed as participants in an outlaw motorcycle gang, it was revealed in an answer to a question on notice.
"All are subject to close intelligence monitoring, as well as a range of special conditions over and above those in place for other prisoners, however, none is required to wear a pink jump suit.," Mr Byrne said.
A review of the Newman government's legislation by former Supreme Court Judge Alan Wilson stated prisoners under an order would receive two daylight hours out of their cells each day, with the remainder spent in solitary confinement.
But Queensland Corrective Services advised the taskforce that segregation was no longer a standard condition for all prisoners on an order as of mid-2014, instead tailoring it to individual cases.
The Wilson report said Corrective Services found the orders provided several advantages in the management of prisoners involved in criminal organisations.
It pointed out the powers were also available under a Maximum Security Order.
