Communities in Western Queensland will be treated to the captivating sounds of the Mediterranean this October and November during a three-week tour by the Musica Viva In Schools ensemble, Akoustic Odyssey.

The South Australian quartet will perform in 27 regional schools, as well as at multiple free community concerts and workshops, weaving stories from Turkey, Greece and beyond.
On this tour, the high-energy ensemble will feature Joshua Tsounis (guitar), Stephan Richter (cello, electric bass), Fleur Green (vocals, percussion) and Karen DeNardi (violin).
They will cover over 2,000 kilometres, bringing their unique blend of music to some of Queensland’s most remote towns.
The list includes Winton, Cloncurry, Camooweal and Mount Isa.
The tour culminates in a free gala concert at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Saturday, November 5.
