He is not affiliated with the monster truck show that cancelled its Mount Isa performance two years ago.
The only connection is that one of the trucks, the Scooby Doo, was leased by the other company on their cancelled tour here.
“We have been touring Australia and New Zealand the last four years,” he said.
“We’ve never toured north of Brisbane so we’re pretty excited to be up here for North Queensland.”
They recently held shows in Cairns and Rockhampton.
One of the performances of the night will be the USA versus Australia monster truck competition.
Mr Bell guarantees the best monster truck performance ever seen in Mount Isa to be held on Saturday night, October 8.
“We’re going to need to re-rivet the roof on Buchanan Park when we finish,” he said, blaming the predicted repairs on the force of the crowd’s cheers after seeing the amazing stunts.
Monster Events arrived in Mount Isa on Monday and had set up its trucks in several locations to advertise the upcoming show.
One of the trucks is based at Outback at Isa, another in front of the airport.
