A bitter family feud involving Jack and his father Garry - a rugby league great - went public in July, in the week of the Swans' co-captain's 200th game, with Kieren requesting his parents not attend his milestone match in Geelong.

According to the report, Kieren Jack's partner, model and Nine News producer Charlotte Goodlet's parents will accompany her to the MCG for the decider at his request.

"At this stage no contact has been made from anyone at the Swans club and as a result no one from the family will be attending the game," Garry Jack told News Limited.

"In response to ongoing questions, we want to wish our son Kieren every success in this important game and do not want to add any unnecessary attention to the club's preparations.

"As we have stated from the very beginning, today and always, the door of our home remains open to all of our sons, and we fully accept the decisions that they make in their lives unconditionally.

"We ask that media agencies please respect our family's requests for privacy from this point onwards as we continue to deal with and move on from these circumstances."

Tensions in the family have been simmering for more than a year due to Kieren's relationship with Goodlet.

Goodlet was a finalist in the 2013 Miss Universe Australia pageant and has been Kieren's partner for three years.

It has been reported that Garry and Donna do not approve of the relationship.
