Despite it being a different sport the North West Queensland Soccer Zone will celebrate the game between Cronulla Sharks and Melbourne Storm on the big screen at the Mount Isa Soccer Grounds.
They hope to sell more raffle tickets for an Indigenous All Stars Jersey.
The money raised will contribute to the men’s and women’s teams competing in the Inaugural National Indigenous Football Championships in Nowra, NSWs, in November.
The men’s coach, Jason Howard, so far had raised $2500 from the raffle but would like to raise about $5000.
“Hopefully we will get a fair bit on Sunday,” he said.
The raffle will be drawn on October 24.
The ground’s gates will open 5pm before the grand final on Sunday. There will be shuttle buses from Food for Less in Pioneer, Red Rooster, and the Buffs Club.
