Last years champions ‘NQ Contracting’ lead by Daniel Flanigan got off to a slow start only just beating new team ‘Playing Darts & Breaking Hearts’ formed by Joel and Luke Galloway. Rob Walsh won the decider to take the match out 8-7 in favour of NQ Contracting.
‘Dart Vaders’ got off to a strong start defeating ‘Sharpest Shooters’ 9-6. Dart Vaders captain Wayne Tindale was very happy with his teams win. ‘Marvelus’ and ‘Green Arrows’ played out a tight match with green arrows finally coming out on top winning 9-6.
The team leading the table after round one is the ‘Originals’ after last seasons shock defeat in the final captain Carl O'Keffee said that the team is still hurting.
“It will take a lot to get over but the 10-5 win over Rob Bradbury's ‘All Blacks Reserve Squad’ is a step in the right direction,” O'Keffee said.
Rob Bradbury's team therefore is again rooted firmly to the bottom of the table. Rob joked that he had “started looking at the table upside down"
