A man accused of the one-punch killing of a Queensland man in inner-city Brisbane will remain behind bars.

Wayne Andrew Hearn, 38, appeared for only a few minutes in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning charged over the death of Timothy Lang.
Dressed in a standard-issue watchhouse tracksuit, he briefly smiled and motioned to relatives after he was led into the prisoner dock.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service solicitor Lyle Parker did not apply for bail on his client's behalf.
Mr Hearn was arrested on Tuesday, north of Brisbane, and charged with unlawful striking causing death.
Mr Lang, 48, had been walking along Melbourne Street near The Fox Hotel when he was punched in the head by a jogger about 10.15am on Saturday.
Police said the men exchanged words as Mr Hearn ran past in the other direction, before the 38-year-old allegedly turned and punched Mr Lang in the head.
Mr Lang was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but died on Monday.
The matter was listed for a committal callover on October 31.
"I don't think we need a video link (appearance)," Mr Parker said.
