These succinct but easily understandable instructions from Mount Isa photographer Kate Glover to Townsville wedding couple Tamarah and Chris Moore has seen her honoured on the world stage.
Kate knew from the moment the photo was taken on Castle Hill in July it was good, and this month, an international jury has agreed with her.
Kate entered the photo in the International Photography Awards, an annual competition for photographers on a global scale.
The competition received over 17,000 nominations from photographers around the world and Kate’s wedding photo was picked out for an “honourable mention” in the category of wedding events.
Kate said it had been raining the day before the wedding in the Townsville and the bride was so worried she had rushed out and bought umbrellas for the ceremony.
“But on the day, the weather was lovely,” she said.
“There were a lot of wedding couples there and we only had a few minutes at sunset to do the shot.”
