Manager Tanya Hales said the second season of futsal had better numbers than last year’s inaugural season.
“Last year it wasn’t advertised enough. It was a quick off the cut ‘let’s do futsal’. The season grew as the year went on,” she said.
The second round was held at the basketball stadium on Saturday morning with players aged between eight to 15 years.
The teams did play older and younger players in other teams.
The older teams were not being patronising but were still playing fair, Ms Hales said.
“We were trying to get particular age groups but there was not enough (teams) to do that properly.”
However, parents were also giving guidance to younger players on how to position themselves.
