Last minute donations from some of Australia's wealthy business people helped the weekend fundraiser reach a total of $26,290,154, nearly $500,000 more than the previous year's record.
East Perth, Brentwood and Dianella were the most generous Perth suburbs, while Collie, Australind and Halls Head were the most generous WA towns.
Meanwhile at the Lexus Ball on Saturday night, in support of Telethon, Fremantle Dockers star Nat Fyfe made a surprising admission to Radio 6PR Breakfast presenter Baz Zempilas.
"He said he's been training with Cam McCarthy... and he said he had a couple inches on Cam," Zempilas told Radio 6PR listeners on Monday.
"Nat Fyfe has grown.
"I was taller than Nat Fyfe at the last Lexus Ball and, this is no rumour, Nat Fyfe is now taller than me."
Zempilas, at 194.5cm, conceded Fyfe may have had an extra heel on his shoes on the night, but maintained that he looked taller.
The midfielder, according to Fremantle's 2016 season player profile, was 190cm during the 2016 pre-season.
A club spokesman said he has not been officially measured since, but would be during the 2017 pre-season.
Recent trade acquisition McCarthy, according to Greater Western Sydney's website, has a 2cm height advantage on Fyfe, but a photo snapped of the pair recently would suggest otherwise.
The photo, posted on Fremantle Football Club's twitter account on October 11, shows Fyfe appearing to just pip McCarthy in the height department.
Another photo of the midfielder, taken alongside 192cm Matthew Pavlich in round five, also had him looking taller than his former captain.
Maybe he's just getting his camera angles right, or is it possible the former Brownlow Medallist is still growing?
Dockers fans have long speculated Fyfe's height could allow him to play up forward in the future - a prospect the 25-year-old seemed interested in after he told Fairfax Media at the end of the 2015 season that he "loved kicking goals".
"As a kid I played a lot as a forward. With the marking ability and the goal nous I think it's only natural that I go forward and spend time there," he said.
"With the game developing to 90 rotations and no sub rule, there's going to be more emphasis on players spending more time on the ground. So rather than resting on the pine, guys are going to be resting forward. I think that's something I can exploit."
That's good news for the Dockers, who just lost their greatest ever forward — former captain Pavlich — to retirement. McCarthy has made the move to the Dockers after missing all of last year due to homesickness, while Shane Kersten - another likely addition from Geelong - stands at 191 centimetres.
"The reality is I'm going to need to play more as a forward and kick more goals," Fyfe said after the 2015 campaign.
"We've got a midfield developed and it's got plenty of firepower now so that'll be a big focus of mine for [in 2016]."
Since making those comments, Fyfe was sidelined for most of the 2016 season with a broken leg. His own future has been topic of much speculation after he initially said he would explore all options ahead of becoming a free agent at the end of 2017, then indicated he was happy being a Docker in the long term.
There has been consistent talk that St Kilda is preparing a war chest to try to tempt Fyfe east, while Carlton is the latest team rumoured to be eyeing him off.
The Fremantle Dockers on Monday would not be drawn on whether Fyfe could spend more time up forward in 2017.
And as for the height rumours, looks like we'll have to keep an eye out for the 2017 AFL player profiles to confirm that one.
