Top Australian chefs are jumping on board to support Queensland's Great Barrier Beer, which offers people the chance to drink while helping to conserve one of the natural wonders of the world.

The beer is produced by the Good Beer Co, a social enterprise launched in late 2015 after raising about $37,000 through a crowdfunding campaign.
Great Barrier Beer is brewed by the Bargara Brewing Company in Bundaberg and donates about 50 per cent of its profits to the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS), which funds conservation projects along the Great Barrier Reef.
The idea was inspired and supported by the UK's Two Fingers Brewery and US brewer Finnegans, which donates money for prostate cancer and to feed the homeless respectively.
A year after the launch, Great Barrier Beer is stocked in hotels, bars, cruise ships and bottle shops across the state and has raised $15,000 for the charity.
Good Beer Co. founder James Grugeon hopes to expand inter-state and support more good causes in the process.
"I want it to be stocked Australia-wide in bars, bottle shops and hotels, so we can support at least four other causes," Mr Grugeon said.
With the expansion, comes the need for a new beer.
Great Barrier Beer is a mid-strength Indian Pale Ale, but Mr Grugeon has come up with a competition between three top Australian chefs to see who can create the next addition to the Good Beer Co range.
Ryan Squires, executive chef and owner at one of Brisbane's best restaurants Esquire, is making a blonde beer.
Spencer Patrick, the chef behind award-winning Port Douglas eateries Harrisons and Bucci, is pioneering a Kolsch.
And celebrity chef Ben O'Donoghue, owner of BillyKart restaurants in Brisbane, is championing cider.
Votes will be made on line with the winning concept to go on to production stage.
Mr O'Donoghue said he couldn't think of a better way to promote a great program and a great beer.
"As an Aussie and having gone to the reef many times, it's a world icon and treasure - we need to help it," he said.
"People already have the Great Barrier Beer, but I think they need something a bit fresher and zingy, like a cider, for a long hot summer."
Mr Grugeon said he hopes the new beer will help with the push to raise $100,000 for charity by the end of the next financial year.
