South-east Queensland rail commuters have been urged to check on their services as a interim timetable, designed to cope with a controversially unforeseen driver shortage, comes into force on Tuesday.

Metropolitan rail services were thrown into chaos on Friday amid about 100 service cancellations, which Queensland Rail chief executive Helen Gluer on Monday said was the result of a "snowballing" of issues associated with the opening of the new Redcliffe Peninsula line.
Those issues related primarily to the lack of drivers who had been sufficiently trained to use the new line without supervision.
Ms Gluer, who on Monday failed to receive the public confidence of Transport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe, said commuters should keep checking the Translink website for updates.
"For the next two weeks, as we move through the current roster that we're in, there may be additional service alterations over the next two weeks," she said.
"We are trying to minimise those as much as possible."
Ms Gluer said the interim timetable was up on the Translink website on Sunday night.
"If there are any alterations to the timetable in the next two weeks while we recover from the fatigue issues we've had, we will be publishing those the night before," she said.
"We anticipate there will be very few of them.
"Once we get through the next two weeks, we believe we'll be back at our normal level of service."
Ms Gluer said, in the case of 25 of the 30 cancelled service, there would be a train within 15 minutes of the previously scheduled departure.
For the other five daily services, Ms Gluer said, there would be a train within 30 minutes.
"That's not good enough and we understand that," she said.
"We've also very much tried to spread it across non-peak to minimise the impact into peak and we've also looked at a system-wide network and focused on patronage."
Mr Hinchliffe said Queensland Rail had been "overly ambitious" in its assumptions that it could cope with the opening of the Redcliffe Peninsula line.
"Through that process asking all the range of questions that one would ask in the context of a major expansion to the range of services, I was consistently advised that the crewing issues were acceptable," he said.
