A child was injured in a road accident on Monday evening. Queensland Ambulance Service said a male child with soft tissue injuries was transported in a stable condition to Mount Isa Base Hospital around 6.15pm on the evening.

The accident occurred after a vehicle and pedestrian incident on the junction of Charles and Urquhart Streets in Soldiers Hill.
