Held during breast cancer awareness month, Headspace and Deadly Choices joined forces to inform the community about the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection.
In conjunction with Headspace’s coffee corner the two organisations turned coffee corner pink, with cakes, slices, pink lemonade, McGrath Foundation bandannas, raffles and a hang out booth.
Headspace acting manager, Jan Hogan said least 60 locals stopped by to support the initiative.
“We usually have coffee corner on a Friday which is a great networking service that we have provided for the last six months or more,” she said.
“So this was a great opportunity to showcase an topic that is so important within the Mount Isa community.

“We want to thanks the community for their support of the event and understanding the importance of an event like this.
“The more information we can get out there about regular check ups and early detection the better.”
