Collingwood president Eddie McGuire says the Lachie Whitfield situation is not Collingwood's problem, despite having appointed Graeme Allan, who is caught up in the investigation, as football manager.

Giant Whitfield, 22, is accused of hiding from any potential drug testers at then GWS official Craig Lambert's house last year, with the approval of Allan.
Whitfield allegedly sent incriminating test messages to his then girlfriend about the plan, which he now claims were lies to escape her – a version of events Allan supports.
"It's not our issue, it's GWS' issue, it's got nothing to do with us," he said on Triple M on Wednesday morning.
"This is trying to cause drama that isn't there."
McGuire said Collingwood had contingency provisions in place, presumably in the case that Allan could not take up his position at the Pies.
McGuire also dismissed claims he was under pressure over the decision to appoint Allan.
Fairfax Media reported on Wednesday that Collingwood staff were angry popular football boss Neil Balme had been replaced by Allan for the 2017 season and as a result, president McGuire's position had begun to look tenuous for the first time.
"I read in The Age I'm going to get the sack," he said. "I'm going nowhere."
McGuire denied rumours that recently departed Melbourne coach Paul Roos was headed to the Pies in some capacity, saying the club had not spoken to the respected football industry veteran.
