A US theme park has temporarily shut down its own water rapids ride in the wake of the fatal Dreamworld tragedy.

News of the worst theme park disaster in Australia since 1979 quickly made international headlines on Tuesday afternoon after four visitors died when their raft flipped on the Thunder River Rapids ride.
Busch Gardens, in Florida, closed down its Congo River Rapids ride in response but reopened the attraction on Wednesday (US time) after an inspection.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those involved in the tragic accident at the Dreamworld park," the operator said, in a statement posted to Twitter on Thursday.
"As a continued commitment to guest safety and out of an abundance of caution, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay closed our Congo River Rapids ride while we worked with other park operators and ride manufacturers to understand what happened in Australia.
"During this time we reviewed our existing and extensive safety procedures.
"That review has been completed and the ride has reopened today, October 26, 2016."
The attraction's website says "thrilling plunges, looming waterfalls and mysterious water caves are just a few of the surprises this river ride holds."
Investigators are still trying to determine what went wrong at Dreamworld on Tuesday afternoon, when a raft carrying four adults and two children flipped backwards after colliding with another vessel, drowning or crushing the adults.
Police described the children's escape as "almost a miracle".
Dreamworld has vigorously defended its safety record in the face of criticism from the Australian Workers' Union.
Parent company Ardent Leisure offered condolences to the families affected and admitted revenues would take a "significant" hit after the tragedy.
CEO Deborah Thomas refused to answer questions about her bonuses in an emotional press conference.
The park is expected to reopen on Friday with a memorial held for the victims: Canberra Brother and sister Luke Dorsett, 35, and Kate Goodchild, 32, Mr Dorsett's partner Roozbeh Araghi, 38, and Sydney mother Cindy Low, 42.
