Adelaide won't take Ben Jarman as a father-son selection in next week's draft after choosing not to nominate the small forward at the final bidding deadline on Friday.

While Collingwood nominated Josh Daicos and Callum Brown, and West Coast nominated Jake Waterman, the Crows opted not to to commit to picking Jarman, meaning he is free to be picked by any club next Friday night in Sydney.
Jarman - son of dual Adelaide premiership hero Darren - was eligible to be picked as a father-son selection by either the Crows or Hawthorn, but the Hawks had already decided against nominating Jarman at an earlier deadline.
Either club can still pick Jarman in the draft, but do not have the right to match the bid of an opposition club should they choose to pick the South Australian.
Adelaide list manager Justin Reid said his club was still a chance to pick Jarman.
"As we have previously stated, we will be true to our talent order, which Ben is part of, and see how the draft selections fall," Reid said.
Had they nominated Jarman, the Crows would have been compelled to select Jarman in the event no other club picked him on the night. If overlooked on draft night, Jarman could still be picked up by Adelaide as a father-son rookie selection.
Daicos (son of Peter), Brown (son of Callum) and Waterman (son of Chris) can be picked by their fathers' clubs at a discount.
Geelong decided against nominating Sam Simpson (son of Sean).
