Nineteen players have already made their way to Bordeaux to begin preparations for the match on Thursday evening (Friday AEDT).
The squad is predominantly made up of the development players who joined the Wallabies after their Barbarians duties but the likes of Nick Frisby, Tom Robertson, Will Skelton and Marika Koroibete, who were all named in the original spring tour travelling party, will also get a chance to get some valuable game time under their belt.
Four overseas-based players have been named with Peter Kimlin (Grenoble), Nathan Charles (Clermont), Mark Gerrard (Toyota Industries Shuttles) and six-time former Wallabies captain Ben Mowen (Pau) all set to come on board.
The only members of the British Barbarians cohort to not join the others are Luke Morahan and Toby Smith.
Morahan will train with the main squad but could make his way down to the Wallaby XV on Tuesday while Smith will return to Australia after a nasty head collision with Sean McMahon at training during the Paris week.
Three development players in Waratahs duo Andrew Kellaway and Jack Dempsey as well as Izaia Perese will also get their chance, while NRL convert Koroibete will get a start in his first proper game of rugby since his high school days in Fiji.
"With the Wallaby XV, we want to create a mix of experienced players as well as our developing players coming through," said Wallabies coach Michael Cheika. "A lot of these lads have been with us over the past three weeks on tour and have been preparing for this Wallaby XV game as their Test match, especially against an international line-up that the French Barbarians will have."
Wisemantel, a former Wallabies and Waratahs assistant who is now at Montpellier, will be joined by an all-Australian coaching staff of former Wallabies Morgan Turinui, Justin Harrison and Chris Whitaker.
"It's a great opportunity for me and I'm excited by the potential of some of these young Australians coming through the ranks," Wisemantel said. "It's a perfect setting for their development, but also for my development as a coach."
