A TOY shop owner is hosting a Christmas themed pageant for Mount Isa youngsters to boost local morale after a year of low economic downturn which includes the closure of Black Star.

The Pioneer based Charbens toy shop owner Charleey Bendeich said the pageant will be held at the Overlander Hotel function room from 1pm to 5pm on December 17.
Profits will be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
“What better than watching little kids enjoy themselves, and all kids love Christmas. Who doesn’t love Christmas?” Ms Bendeich said.
The are four age groups; 11 months and under, one to three years, three to five years, and six to 10 years. The entree fee is $20. They dress in costumes or their favourite Christmas outfits and collect their present.
Winners in each division receive a bigger prize and trophy.
Ms Bendeich requested nominations at the toy shop in the Pioneer Woolworths complex by December 10.
