The truck had become stuck under the rail bridge at Cribb Street in Milton about 12pm Thursday.

Trains were suspended on the Ipswich and Springfield line, but services resumed about 1.45pm.

The truck was wedged so tightly that the wheels had to be lowered and a tow truck was called in to try to pull it out.

On Wednesday afternoon a semi-trailer struck a rail bridge barrier, "peeling" the top of the truck off.

The incident forced police to close the lane off as debris littered Annerley Road at Woolloongabba.

The refrigerated truck remained wedged under the barrier until it was cleared about 9.30pm.

A passer-by said he saw foam insulation all over the road, which several locals cleared away to let traffic pass.

"Top of the truck was peeled open, exposing refrigeration and a cargo of custard milk cartons in crates," he said.

The accidents come after a truck lost part of its load of human waste near Toowoomba and a dog food truck went up in flames in Brisbane's north.

A spokesperson for Queensland Rail said motorists that strike the bridges run the risk of being fined up to $8800.

"The incident serves as an important reminder for drivers of over-height vehicles to be vigilant around rail bridges and know their height," she said.

"Queensland Rail is committed to reducing the likelihood and impact of bridge strikes through engineering solutions and working with police on enforcement, but the reality is that every low clearance bridge is fitted with a height clearance sign and it's up to motorists to simply take care and be aware of their vehicle's height and load."

"We are pleading with motorists to stay focused and be aware of their vehicle's height, after a truck collided with the protection beam at the Annerley Road rail bridge at Dutton Park just after 5pm yesterday.

"Thankfully there were no serious injuries as a result of the incident, however there was significant damage to the truck and road congestion as a result."
