Chapter director Tony Moloney and Santa led the group of about 30 riders – including Santa – around town as they picked up presents from donors and delivered them to locations chosen by the local Salvos.
“We start off with a sausage sizzle at Outback at Isa and then go around town picking up the gifts, we have about 17 residences this year and also we have the School of the Air which is our first stop so we’ll go there and show all the country kids our bikes and give them lollypops,” Mr Moloney said.
“Then as we pull up to the houses, the van following will pick up the toys.
“After we’ve finished our round we’ll go back to the Overlander Hotel where the Salvation Army will have another sausage sizzle.”
Captain Brad Whittle of the Salvos thanked the HOG for supporting their work.
“The presents go to families in need in the community,” Captain Whittle said.
