The search for a missing trawler has been scaled back after extensive air and sea searches failed to uncover the vessel and missing crew over the weekend.

A 60-year-old experienced male skipper and two male crew members aged 24 and 38 remain missing after the trawler they were on lost communication the day after departing Urangan at Hervey Bay on November 11.
The trawler was travelling east through Breaksea Spit at the northern end of Fraser Island and failed to dock as scheduled on the Sunshine Coast on November 18.
Police said this was not out of character for the crew onboard.
An extensive air and sea search commenced on Friday that included aircraft from RACQ LifeFlight and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority along with the Hervey Bay Water Police who were co-ordinating the search.
The search area spanned from Bustard Head, near Bundaberg to Fraser Island on Friday.
A Westpac helicopter along with police boats conducted beach and coastal patrols between the Gold Coast and Noosa on Sunday, however the crew and vessel remain missing.
Police were conducting shoreline patrols on Monday along with issuing broadcasts across the marine radio network in an attempt to contact the missing trawler and alert vessels in the area.
Hervey Bay police were continuing their investigations into the suspected disappearance and liaising with the crews' families.
