Ardent Leisure's board will discuss reopening the park, and must then inform the ASX of their decision. It's understood an opening date will be decided after that.

It follows the state government's safety audits of Queensland theme parks, with Dreamworld and White Water World issued a number of notices for required improvements after it was inspected.

Dreamworld and White Water World have been closed since four people died on the Thunder River Rapids ride on October 25.

On Friday, the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland inspection eight improvement notices were recommended to the two theme parks, which include requiring staff to wear protective gear when handling pool chemicals.

Dreamworld chief executive Craig Davidson said all the WHSQ issues raised would be addressed before the theme parks reopened.

"We are unswervingly committed to go well beyond legislative requirements to ensure every one of our 24 rides and 10 water slides at Dreamworld and WhiteWater World exceed even the most stringent of safety measures," he said.

Industrial Relations Minister Grace Grace said she will "absolutely" take her family to the theme park when it reopens.

"Once it's opened, I intend to go down there to enjoy a day," she said earlier in the month.

"They've been safe for many, many, many years, they have world-class facilities down there, and the audits are finding that they are getting a clean bill of health.

"I would not hesitate to go down and enjoy a ride – but I must say I'm not really a ride kind of person."
