Race 1

Emerald City just keeps on winning and will be very tough to beat once again. He has shown an impressive will to win this preparation and this is clearly his favourite track and distance. Meteorologist chased him home last start and is sure to benefit from having had a start over 2200 metres. Pop 'n' Scotch should be really to perform at close to his best third-up, while Anton En Avant will be suited by the step back-up in distance.

Race 2

Almost half of this field will be making their racing debuts in this race. I Am Venus made his racing debut with an eye-catching win over this track and distance. He did not have a great deal of luck in running and he has the scope to improve on that effort. Dream Kisses has also won over this track and distance, while Bring It Home Pop is another horse that has raced well over this trip. A number of the first-starters have eye-catching pedigrees and it wouldn't surprise to see one of the debutants get the win.

Race 3

This is a very tough race for punters. Blue Lion has been racing well without winning this preparation and he has produced some solid closing sectionals. The step-up in trip will suit and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form. Hudson Country led from start to finish at the Sunshine Coast last start and will take up the running. Dream Finnish, Speed Gonzales, Rocbolt and even The Grey Flash are all capable of running a big race in what will be a very competitive affair.

Race 4

You can't knock the form of Saga Miss and she hit the line strongly over a mile last start. This is easily her best distance and there is no doubt that she will be storming home in the final stages of the race. Rocknet is a better horse than his current price suggests. He was not given a great ride when he returned to the races at Eagle Farm and this is a drop in class. Lord Coconuts is a query at the trip, but on his best form he is the class horse in this race.

Race 5

Winning Rupert has recorded two impressive wins from as many race starts and his three barrier trials indicate that he is forward enough for his first-up assignment. He has the benefit of Jeff Lloyd in the saddle and he is obviously the horse to beat. The main danger looks to be Crazy Pops. Crazy Pops won well at Eagle Farm first-up and was only narrowly denied by Another Slipper last start. He can turn-the- tables on his rival and has upside, but whether he is good enough to beat Winning Rupert is the big question.

This is a wide open betting race and there are a number of horses that stand out at big odds. Man Of Honour has been racing well, but he looks a good risk at his current price and he will require an  absolute peach of a ride from Jeff Lloyd from the inside barrier. Glendara is well over the odds at the big price. He won well at the Sunshine Coast last start and he is more than capable of running well at this level. Annaman has been freshened up for this race and she ran some good races in some quality staying affairs during the spring.

Race 7

A capacity field will contest the Stanton Plate and luck in running will be crucial. My Girl Hayley returned to the races with a tough victory at Doomben first-up and she was not suited by the track at Eagle Farm last start. The wide barrier draw is an advantage and she will give them something to catch. El Greco is the X-factor in this race. He raced some big races at Stakes level at the start of his racing career and he will make his debut for the Tony Sears stable this weekend. He has clear class edge over the rest of this field if Sears is able to get the best out of him.

Race 8

Too Good To Refuse was far too good for his rivals in the Keith Noud Quality and that is always the strongest form reference for the George Moor Stakes. Eagle Farm is the perfect track for him – especially how it is currently playing – and he is clearly the horse to beat. Big Money won this race two years ago and he remains a quality sprinter on his day. That's A Good Idea is never far away in races at this level and I like the fact that Team Snowden have given him a barrier trial in between starts.

Race 9

There are plenty of talented horses in this field and I expect it to be a strong form race going forward. Tiyatrolani absolutely smashed the clock as a two-year- old and she returned to winning form at Eagle Farm last start. She maps to get a lovely run into this race with Jim Byrne in the saddle and there is no reason she can't win again. Eckstein is another horse with plenty of talent and he beat a quality field to win at Rosehill Gardens last start. Savanna Amour, Snow Fields and Lubiton also have plenty of upside.
