Below average rain was recorded across most of North West Queensland in November, with Mount Isa only receiving 25mm.

Mount Isa’s monthly total was below the average of 38mm, and its highest daily was only 13mm. When rain fell at the start of the month, temperatures dropped to 29.6 degrees on November 13, but rose quickly at the end of the month with the highest daily recorded of 41.4 degrees on the 31st.
Cloncurry received well below average rain recording 13.2mm for the month and received its highest daily of 6.8mm on the 12th. Cloncurry’s highest temperature was 43 degrees and lowest was 30.1.
Other rainfall around the region was scarce last month, Boulia received 1.9mm which took its annual total to 333.9mm. Julia Creek recorded 18.8mm which raised its total to 418.8mm.
Camooweal recorded 34.6mm for which took its annual total to the highest in the region with 523.4mm. Hughenden received the most rainfall last month recording 49.0mm which raised its total to 399mm.
