Speaking to News Corp, Radradra said "all things being equal" he will be an Eel next season, but confirmed an offer was on the table for 2018 in French rugby.

"I'm committed to playing the 2017 season with the Eels," he said. "My contract is for the 2017 season and I intend on honouring this contract.

"All things being equal I would love to remain an Eel beyond 2017. I love the fans, I love my teammates and coach."

Earlier this week French rugby powerhouse Toulon announced Radradra would be joining the side for the 2018 season. But the Fijian native denied that he had signed, claiming he is yet to receive a contract.

"There is an offer from Toulon for the 2018 season but I am disappointed they announced I had signed before they had even issued me the contract," he said.

Radradra was brought to the NRL from Fiji and still heavily supports his family back home. He said the weight of that pressure has led him to consider the financial implications of any deal he may sign.

"The reality of being a professional athlete in the modern era is that we are faced with difficult decisions. We have a short window to make a career for ourselves and families.

"For me the added responsibilities is that so many people and households in Fiji rely on me to support them. We will weigh everything up with my manager and make a decision in the near future."

Radradra was excluded from the Kangaroos Four Nations tour at the end of the NRL season, with coach Mal Meninga ruling him out, alongside Cronulla's Andrew Fifita, for off-field issues.

Radradra has been charged with domestic violence, and was forced to surrender his passport earlier this week.

He said missing out on the Kangaroos tour was "the hardest thing I have had to deal with in my career".
